This month in DCAL's Learning Community for Future Faculty (LCFF), we will discuss how to monitor and interpret nonverbal and verbal cues from students in order to assess their engagement and understanding. LCFF is a community of graduate students and postdocs focused on teaching and learning, will meet twice in spring term (April 22 and May 20) to share the rewards and challenges of college teaching, while digging a bit deeper into best practices and techniques for teaching and related career development issues. Each topic/session will be chosen and designed by members of the group, so it's also a chance to get more teaching experience. Please let Cindy Rosalbo know if there's a topic you'd like to lead a session about! Regular attendance is appreciated but not required - come when you can! Lunch will be available. Please register by noon on the Friday before for April 22 and/or May 20
