[more]Humans are affecting environmental change on local and global scales. This degree of change is troubling, as it involves material that is harmful and toxic to ecological systems as well as human health and well-being.
[more]Graduate Student Appreciation week kicks off today in recognition and appreciation of the academic and social contributions the graduate student community make to the Dartmouth community. This week the School is partnerning with offices and programs across campus to provide free events, lunches, and professional opportunities to grad students. DDS will offer free coffee at all it's locations all week and today (April 2) lunch at 53 Commons is only $5 for all grad students.
[more]Hanover, New Hampshire is a completely different world than the one from which I came. Having previously lived in one of the poorest states in the country—in a city riddled with crime, Hanover and the surrounding area initially appeared to me to be a glittering world of prosperity. It wasn’t until well into my first year at Dartmouth that I began to notice a disparity between Hanover and nearby towns.
[more]This past summer, I was awarded a Design & Production and Stage Direction Assistantship for the 2017 Arezzo Opera Festival. The month-long festival—located in Arezzo, Italy, and run by Oberlin College, as the 'Oberlin in Italy' initiative—was a wonderful opportunity to direct, produce, and coach Italian operatic works in Italy alongside professionals in the field.
