Jane Seibel, Director of Graduate Recruiting and Diversity
The position is designed to foster the recruitment and retention of a talented and diverse graduate student population. Seibel will also serve as a program leader in the development and implementation of partnerships and training programs with the existing graduate departments at the College.
Seibel joins the Dartmouth community with an extensive background in nonprofits, education, and recruiting. She has previously served as the Director of Education at the Museum of Boston, as an Educational Technology Consultant at Freshpond Education, and as Executive Director of The Collaborative Project, a nonprofit collaborative for math and science on the north shore of Boston.
Upon moving to the Upper Valley seven years ago, Seibel invented a product that she licensed nationally. She then started an executive-recruitment business that focused on professionals seeking flexible, part-time work schedules.
“We’re excited to welcome Jane Seibel to the Dartmouth community,” says Brian Pogue, Dean of Graduate Studies at Dartmouth College. “Her experience with social media, online recruitment, and educational technology will be a huge asset in our efforts to attract an increasingly diverse and vibrant graduate community.”
Seibel looks forward to combining her entrepreneurial skills and social media proficiency in her new position at Dartmouth. Having successfully built several companies through strong online presences, she is familiar with the evolving nature of both marketing and recruitment efforts. With a focus on emerging and nontraditional methods of recruiting, Seibel intends to attract a diverse community of graduate students to Dartmouth.
“I’m looking forward to exploring the many ways in which to make the connection between potential graduate students and Dartmouth College’s graduate program,” Seibel says.
A graduate of Springfield College with an M.Ed in Instructional Technology from Lesley College, Jane lives in Hanover with her husband and three daughters.
