Qiagen - CLC Genomics Workbench and IPA Pathway Analysis Seminar and Workshop

Qiagen seminar and workshop showcasing their genomics data analysis solutions CLC Genomics Workbench and Ingenuity Pathway analysis (IPA).

Thursday, October 19, 2017
10:30am – 3:00pm
Vail 701
Intended Audience(s): Faculty, Staff, Students-Graduate, Students-Undergraduate
Categories: Lectures & Seminars, Workshops & Training

Qiagen CLC Genomics Workbench and Ingenuity Pathway Analysis (IPA) are powerful software tools made available to Dartmouth researchers free of charge, for the analysis of genomics datasets.

A Qiagen scientist will be on campus Thursday October 19th from 10:30am-3pm in Vail 701 to provide seminars and hands on sessions to showcasing their software solutions and deonstrating the analysis of real datasets. The schedule will proceed as follows:

10:30am-noon: CLC bio Software Genomics Workbench, Biomedical Workbench and Microbial Genomics Module (First 45min microbial focus, 2nd 45 min human/mouse/rat focus)

Overview of Application, Importing NGS read data, QC & Pre-processing
• De novo assembly – Genomes & Transcriptomes. Characterizing Contigs, Joining
& Finishing
• Mapping/Alignment to Reference, Variant Calling, Annotation & Filtering
• RNA Seq Analysis Workflow & Tools
• Microbial Genomics Module
• Metagenomics
• 16S data analysis
• OUT clustering

12-12:30pm: Pizza lunch and Q&A session

12:30-1:30pm: Ingenuity Pathway Analysis

• Identify likely pathways that are expressed
• Find causal regulators and their directional effect on
genes functions and diseases
• Build pathways, make connections between entities,
and overlay multiple datasets on a pathway or network
• Understand the effected biological processes
• Comparison Analysis: utilize a heat map to easily
visualize trends across multiple time points or samples
• Get more from your phosphoproteomics datasets in
IPA with a new Phosphorylation Core Analysis.

1:30pm-3pm: Individual analysis sessions. Please email amar.swami@qiagen.com to sign up for a 1-on-1 session.
