Investiture 2021

The Guarini School Investiture ceremony will be pre-recorded and broadcast on this page on Friday, June 11 at 3 p.m. (Please note the time change from 5 p.m. to 3 p.m. The video will also be posted to the homepage of the Guarini School website at that time).

On Saturday, June 12 graduates and two ticketed guests are invited to attend the Guarini School Graduation Celebration. This event will allow limited capacity opportunity for 2021 graduating students to gather and celebrate their accomplishments with program faculty/staff. 

Graduates are required to complete the Commencement Travel Survey (sent via email), and may bring two ticketed guests. Light refreshemnts will be available, and a photographer will be on hand. Regalia is not required. Once the travel survey has been completed, graduates will be eligible to reserve up to two guest tickets via the HOP Box Office. 

Tickets for the event may be obtained by emailing the HOP Box Office with the subject line: Guarini Graduation Celebration Tickets.

                       1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. – MCB, PEMM, QBS and EEES

2:45 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. – COSC, CHEM, EARS, MATH, PHYS, PBS and COGN

4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. – COLT, MALS and D.MUS

On Sunday, June 13 Commencement exercises will take place with the academic procession beginning at 10:30 a.m. The cereomny will begin at 11:00 a.m. The ceremony will be held outdoors, rain or shine in Memorial Field. Graduate students who are on campus, and who have cleared college C-19 protocols, are invited to attend.

Due to limited capacity in the stadium, only AB or BE degree candidates will be permitted to invite a maximum of two (2) guests.

Testing and Travel Protocols

If you (and your guests) are planning on attending in-person events during commencement weekend (June 11-13), please follow the testing and quarantinine guidelines listed below.

Fully Vaccinated and traveling within US take 2 steps: 

  1. Submit vaccine documentation of being 14 days past last dose (picture of vaccination card will work) to Dick's house (Medical.Records@Dartmouth.edu) asap, but no later than [7 days] before arrival.
  2. Go to: https://healthservices.dartmouth.edu and go to the forms tab located on the left hand side of the screen. Once there complete the form entitled "Student Vaccination Information Consent/Release Form."

Fully Vaccinated and Traveling From Outside the US:

  • Submit FDA/EUA approved vaccine documentation to Dick's house asap, but no later than [7 days] before arrival on campus. Make arrangements to quarantine for 10 days in the US; you may shorten your quarantine by obtaining a negative PCR test result on day 6 or 7. Your quarantine ends once you receive your negative result.   

Not Fully Vaccinated and Arriving From Within New England:

  • Arriving < 72 hours before your investiture or graduation ceremony: 
    • Obtain a PCR test no more than 72 hours before your graduation ceremony. Submit negative test results to Dick's House (Medical.Records@Dartmouth.edu). 
  • Arriving >72 hours before your investiture or graduation ceremony 

Not Fully Vaccinated and Arriving From Outside New England: 

  • Arriving >8 days before your investiture or graduation ceremony: Quarantine upon arrival. Test at Dartmouth (https://health-clinics.dartmouth.edu/) on day 1 and 6.  
  • Arriving <8 days before your investiture or graduation ceremony: Quarantine at home. Obtain a PCR test no more than 72 hours before your investiture or graduation. Submit negative test results to Dick's House (Medical.Records@Dartmouth.edu).

Sunday, June 13, 2021 – The All-Dartmouth Commencement Ceremony will take place at 11:00am in Memorial Field

  • The procession begins at 10:30am.
  • 2021 Guarini graduates will meet at 9:30am on the patio at the front of Anonymous Hall to line up and walk to the front doors of Alumni Gym together *this may change in the event of rain, watch your email
  • All 2021 Guarini graduates are invited to attend. They must complete the  Commencement Travel Surveyto register. Regalia is required
  • Advanced degree graduates are unfortunately not allowed to bring guests to the Commencement Ceremony, a link to the full virtual events will be available on the Virtual Viewing page the day of commencement.
  • As an FYI, the following "tips" were given to us by Conferences and Events for all graduates who are attending Commencement.

· No chewing gum

· No spiked high heeled shoes due to the turf on Memorial Field

· Use Leverone restrooms

· A water bottle and program will be on your chair

· Extra water will be located at the 50 yard line near the West Stands

· Wear sunscreen

ACADEMIC REGALIA

For those of you who wish to have regalia to take photos to share with family and friends, you can have your Souvenir Doctoral and Masters' regalia shipped home for an $11 shipping and handling charge or Ph.D. custom regalia shipped home for $15.95 shipping and handling. You will be able to keep this to wear at the rescheduled in-person ceremonies and have a keepsake of this important milestone.  Graduates will have the opportunity to purchase (or rent) regalia for the rescheduled in-person ceremonies.

The deadline to order regalia through the Oak Hall website has passed. Late orders can be placed until Friday, May 28, 2021 by emailing Peg Mead

2020 and 2021 Graduates will have the opportunity to purchase or rent regalia for the rescheduled in-person Investiture ceremonies.
