Learning Objectives:
1. Identify the Physiological Effects of Hyperbaric Oxygen
2. Review the Applications of Hyperbaric Oxygen in Medical Patients
3. Discuss Emerging Applications of Hyperbaric Oxygen Based on Recent Research.
Dr. Buckey received his Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Cornell University in 1977, and his medical degree from Cornell University Medical School in 1981. He has 30 years of research and clinical experience in aerospace/undersea physiology and medicine. He directs a lab at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth and started the hyperbaric medicine clinical program at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, which he currently runs. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Aerospace Medicine, and Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine.
