What do Wonder Woman and Chinese porcelain have in common? In this family workshop, children and their adult companions will explore the work or ceramic artist Sin-ying Ho.
Through facilitated discussion and gallery activities, we will learn about how she combines traditional porcelain painting with familiar images from pop culture to create fascinating visual juxtapositions. In the studio, families will experiment with a transfer process using magazine images and will work together to create a large-scale collage inspired by Ho’s work. For children ages 6–12 and their adult companions. This workshop is free, but space is limited. Please sign up online by May 16.
Events are free and open to the public unless otherwise noted.
