Mascoma, LLC, is a biotech company focused on developing microbe-based products for a multitude of applications. As an employer in the Upper Valley, we hope to help answer the questions those in academia might have about transitioning into a career in industry.

We invite you to join us on Tuesday, April 24th from 11am-1pm at our facility in Lebanon, NH. The visit will include a tour of our labs, a brief presentation on what we do, and an informal conversation with Mascoma employees who have made the transition to industry over the past several years. During the visit, those who join us will be expected to briefly (1-2 minutes) describe their area of research and their goals in joining us for the visit, so we can learn more about you! Lunch will be provided.

We are limited to 8 people for this visit. We would prefer students/postdocs in the following areas: molecular/cellular biology (especially in microbes), genetics/genomics, computational biology, microbial metabolism, protein biochemistry, genetic engineering, fermentation/bioprocessing/chemical engineering, and anything related to those. In addition, we ask that you be at least in your 4th year of graduate school or a postdoc.
