Overview of NSF GRFP and application process for Year 2 and incoming Year 1 graduate students.
Dartmouth GrantGPS is sponsoring a 3-part series to help graduate students in their first and second years prepare National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship applications (3 years of funding/$34,000 annually):
“Writing a Successful NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program Application”
Eligibility: You must be a first or second year graduate student and U.S. citizen/national or permanent resident to submit a proposal.
Note: Graduate students have ONE opportunity to submit an application to the GRFP, either in the first year or in the second year of graduate school.
Incoming students are welcome to participate in the sessions below. If you are not available to attend, but are planning on writing a proposal, please contact grant.proposal.support@dartmouth.edu to arrange to have your proposal edited.
The series is organized as follows:
Session 1
Orientation and Overview: Learn about the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP), eligibility, benefits of the award, and application and review process. Find out about tips for preparing your application, establishing a timeline, and available resources.

Session 2
Concept Development Seminar/Group Critique Session: An opportunity to receive feedback on your proposal/application. Must have draft prepared for sharing with colleagues.
