Let the Celebration Begin!

Dartmouth is coming to New York to start a year of celebratory events around the country in honor of Dartmouth’s 250th anniversary in 2019.

Join in the fun as President Philip J. Hanlon '77, Gail Gentes '77a, CNN’s Jake Tapper ’91, actor David Harbour ’97, and other special guests usher in this historic year. Together, we’ll gather ’round for an evening of storytelling that celebrates and inspires the Dartmouth spirit and connects us as a community.

A Story About Truth: Master storyteller Jake Tapper ’91 who will delve into how we differentiate fact from fiction in today’s world.

A Story About Inspiration: Provost Joe Helble will share his personal story of how he is inspired by Dartmouth faculty and students every day.

Tales of Impact: Provost Helble will join John Currier ’79 Th’81 and Kendall Ronzano ’17 Th’18 of Mobile Virtual Player, as well as Alexandra Stasior ’20 and Julia Marcotte ’20 of Speedbreak, who will share how they turn ideas into reality to improve our world.

A Story About Imagination: Actor David Harbour '97 of Stranger Things, will discuss the role of imagination in today's world and share stories of how he finds creative inspiration.

8:15–10 p.m. Reception with hearty hors d'oeuvres and open bar of beer, wine, and soft drinks
10 p.m. Event concludes
