Assistant Professor of Neurology

Research focuses on three areas:
1. Basic Research: Understanding the critical contribution of microRNAs and their targets to various pathologies of the nervous system.
2. Translational Research: Running clinical trials to establish the role of microRNAs as diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers and therapeutic agents in gliomas as well as biomarkers of treatment efficacy and toxicity in glioma patients.
3. Biomedical Engineering: Developing innovative, in vivo wireless, nano scale devices for early detection of disease as well as regulated and targeted drug delivery.
