Emily Schaeffer

Research Associate, Pediatric Orthopaedics at The University of British Columbia

I am currently a Research Associate in Pediatric Orthopaedics at The University of British Columbia. My experience in PEMM, although extremely different from the direct clinical research work I am doing now, gave me an important foundation to build upon to get me to where I am today. The collaborative nature of the PEMM program really allowed me to see what could be accomplished to improve the lives of patients when researchers and medical doctors work in concert to bring research findings from the bench to the bedside.
