Amrutha Kamalaprasad Vijayakumari

I am a PhD student in Kathy Cottingham's lab. I am primarily interested in studying the behavior and migration patterns of marine mammals using acoustic data. My previous study involved ecotoxicological research in marine systems, where I examined heavy metal bioaccumulation in shark species of the Indian Ocean along the west coast of India. I am currently working with Prof. Celia Chen to analyze heavy metal bioaccumulation data from fish species in the Gulf of Maine and collaborating on annotating sound spectrograms for one of the lab projects from Prof. Matt Ayres' lab.
