Junior Burks

I am an ecosystem ecologist interested in understanding how ecosystems respond to and influence global environmental change and the climate system. My research explores these dynamics across temporal and spatial scales. I primarily work in forested ecosystems, ranging from tropical systems to boreal forests, and am curious about above- and below-ground interactions, gas fluxes, global carbon cycling, and future forests.
