In this hands-on workshop, we will practice these skills by tidying and visualizing "messy" datasets using the free, open source programming language R.
Cleaning, structuring, and visualizing data are important steps in the research process, helping us to understand and share the data we have collected. In this hands-on workshop, we will practice these skills by tidying and visualizing "messy" datasets using the free, open source programming language R and the popular set of packages called the "tidyverse." No prior experience with this language – or programming in general – is required.
Attendees are strongly encouraged to bring their own devices. We want to get started right away, so please install both of the following on your device prior to the workshop:
Register: dartgo.org/data_management_workshops
Presenter: James Adams, Data and Visualization Librarian
Events are free and open to the public unless otherwise noted.
