Although the ramp down has affected everyone in MCB differently. It appears that two hobbies have taken hold of the program: Baking and Hiking.
While both social distant in their own way, they each offer a fun and exciting experience for those who partake in them. Here are a few submitted photos from MCB students of their finest bready creations and outdoor excursions.

"My first 4000-footer hike in New Hampshire, almost 7 miles. Just like a walk in the park."
Muhammad Abubakr Khan
Going outdoors and getting close to nature has really helped me keep sane during this "new normal". Finding "exotic" insects and animals with my friends added an extra layer of excitement to it. Hiking has become a weekly ritual and am determined to climb the 4000 footers. Let's see if I can hike all 48 before I graduate. *fingers crossed*

During the pandemic, I decided to take up the challenge of hiking New Hampshire's 4000 footers to not only keep myself active but also to find some sense of accomplishment outside of my experiments and research which had all come to a halt. Being the residents of Upper Valley, we are blessed to have easy access to the majestic White Mountains range. Here I am climbing the infamous "chimney" on my way back from bagging the peak of Mount East Osceola.
