Jessica received a bachelor's degree in Pharmacy-Biochemistry from the University of São Paulo, Brazil. She developed her undergrad research at the Butantan Institute, working with a cell-free protein expression system. After her undergraduate studies, she worked in the industry as a Regulatory Affairs Analyst, and then as a Technological Development Analyst at the Brazilian Center for Research in Energy and Materials (CNPEM), working on a drug discovery project. In the MCB program at Dartmouth, she hopes to learn more about reconstituted systems, cell imaging, and protein engineering. In her free time, she enjoys scrapbooking, painting, biking, photographing nature, and reading fantasy books.
