Abhishek Mangipudi

Abhishek was trained as a chemical engineer during his bachelor's degree at National Institute of Technology, Agartala, India and his master's degree at Cornell University. His master's thesis work, under Dr. Matthew DeLisa's supervision, sparked his interest in exploring the applications of protein engineering in cancer immunotherapy design. Subsequently, he joined Dr. Eric Smith's lab at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute where he characterized cellular therapeutics against various cancer targets and built a strong foundation in translational immunology. At Dartmouth, he wants to delve deeper into the basic mechanisms governing the effectiveness of cancer immunotherapies and use this knowledge to develop powerful cancer therapeutics. When not working hard in the lab, you can find him listening to the latest pop music, cooking gobsmacking food or looking for the best ways to learn skiing.
