Ana was born in the state of São Paulo in Brazil where she first discovered her passion for science at the age of 16 by participating in a science incentive program for teenagers at the University of São Paulo (USP) learning about cell culture. After that, she received a bachelor's degree in Biology from FAM University, where she participated in extra research projects. She also received a Master's degree in Biological Engineering from Brazil University (UB), in which she focused on microbiology studying entomopathogenic fungi stress tolerance to biotic agents. In her free time, Ana likes to go hiking, to concerts, and watch thriller movies.
