Originally from Assam, India, Himanshu earned his BS in Biotechnology from Manipal Academy of Higher Education in 2018 and his MS in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from Tezpur University in 2020. He is currently a PhD candidate in the Skopelja-Gardner Lab at Dartmouth, where he studies the mechanisms of kidney injury in cystic fibrosis. Beyond research, he serves as the President of the Graduate Student Council (2024-2025), having previously held the role of Social Co-chair. Before joining Dartmouth, he worked for two years in scientific publishing, assisting researchers, doctors, and non-English-speaking scientists in getting their work published. Outside the lab, he enjoys hiking, exploring new towns, and trying new cuisines.
