Jackson Shimkonis

Born and raised outside Philadelphia, I first moved up to New England in 2015. There, I got my Bachelor's in Biochemistry from Northeastern University. I gained years of experience working in industry during my degree, and fell in love with the sciences and knew I was in the right field. After I graduated, I spent 4 years in the Internal Medicine Research Unit at Pfizer in Kendall Square, Cambridge studying Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease and other metabolic disorders. A love for cell work, human health, and a desire to further my commitment to the sciences brought me to pursue my PhD here at Dartmouth. In my spare time, I love cooking, exploring nature, and Philly sports.
