Janelle Bellot

Janelle is originally from Naples, Florida. She graduated from Johns
Hopkins University with a B.S. in Molecular and Cellular Biology. She
completed her Post-Baccalaureate with Hopkins PREP at the Johns
Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Her research experiences
range from studying the DNA damage response of germline stem cells
(GSCs) in the Drosophila testis stem cell niche to identifying and
characterizing components of Yes-associated protein (YAP) condensates
in the context of cancer. She is eager to explore research in MCB and
contribute to studies relating to human disease. Outside the lab, Janelle enjoys listening to music (and playing the viola), trying out
new restaurants and cafés, and exploring new places and activities.
