Jayde Sokaloo

Jayde received his bachelor's degree in biology and chemistry from the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill. A recipient of the R.L. Seale & Co. Prize in Chemistry and the Graham Gooding Prize in Biology, Jayde has always been fascinated by life sciences and strived to strengthen his understanding of the molecular machines existing within the human body. During his undergraduate studies, he had the opportunity to research as an intern in Dr. Chris Shoemaker's laboratory at Dartmouth, investigating the function of NBR1 in macro autophagy initiation. He then worked under Dr. Dean Madden investigating the inhibitory effects of nanobodies on the CFTR inhibitory factor. In his free time, you can normally find Jayde weightlifting, cooking or enjoying live sports.
