Qi Yao

Qi is originally from Yangquan, a city of Shanxi in northern China. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Hubei University of Chinese Medicine, and later pursued her Master's in the same discipline from Northeastern University. Post-graduation, Qi worked at Moderna, focusing on the development of next-generation therapeutics targeting cancer and autoimmune diseases. Now at Dartmouth, Qi is enthusiastic about exploring the diverse facets of Molecular Biology, which include microbiology, computational biology, and immunology. Outside the lab, Qi enjoys playing music, swimming, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, discovering local eateries, grocery shopping, and playing tennis.
