Rachel was born and raised in southeast Michigan but has fallen for the east coast since moving here for college, graduating from Harvard with a degree in human evolutionary biology in 2018. She spent the past five years at a startup, Day Zero Diagnostics, where she worked on methods development, sequencing, and automation for a sepsis diagnostic. At Dartmouth, she hopes to study microbial community dynamics and antibiotic resistance. In her free time, Rachel enjoys rock climbing, baking, foraging, and tabletop role-playing games.
