Sierra Kleist

Rosato lab

Sierra graduated magna cum laude from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire with a BS in Microbiology and a minor in Spanish. Before starting graduate school, she worked at the Mayo Clinic in the laboratory of Dr. Kathryn Knoop, where she studied the role of gut-residing bacteria on the development of the immune system. At Dartmouth, she is a member of the Rosato lab where she studies the role of resident memory T cells in brain tumors, and how they may be harnessed as an immunotherapy. She is the 2022-2023 Microbiology & Immunology student representative and a recipient of the Albert J. Ryan Fellowship. Outside of the lab, Sierra enjoys hiking and skiing around New England.
