Sophia Micale

Sophia is from Winchester, MA, and received a bachelor of science as a biology major and chemistry minor at Brandeis University. Her undergraduate research focused on how increasing cell size affects the nuclear arrangement and cytoskeletal architecture of the cell, and mechanical properties of the tissue. At Dartmouth, she plans to continue pursuing research in cell biology. Outside of the lab, her interests include hiking, playing organized sports, spending time enjoying nature, trying new places to eat, and watching TV. A fun fact about Sophia is that she has recently learned how to sail and tried to learn how to surf!
