Thyandra Martinez

Thyandra earned her Bachelor's of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Hartford in 2023. Post graduation she worked in a hospital laboratory in the chemistry and special hematology departments handling patient samples and performing requested testing. She later completed a post-baccalaureate research experience program at Vanderbilt University where she investigated mitochondrial morphology in aging cells. Her current research interests are biochemistry and cell biology in the context of human disease however, she is open to exploring other avenues of science. During her free time, she enjoys thrift shopping and antiquing, going to the gym and watching anime.
