Structure and Leadership

The Guarini School's 14-person staff, led by an academic dean, provides centralized oversight for admissions, curriculum and degree requirements, student affairs, career and professional development, community building, registrar, and graduate academic policy.

The Guarini Dean:

  • Serves on the President's Senior Leadership Team, and meets regularly with the President, Provost, and the other four academic deans (A&S, Thayer, Geisel, and Tuck).
  • Is a member of the Board of Trustees Academic Excellence Committee.
  • Sits on the Board of Trustees Student Experience Committee (representing both graduate and professional students).

Guarini's Advisory Bodies:

  • The Council on Graduate Studies (CGS) is a faculty, staff, and student committee that advises on graduate policy, reviews new programs, and certifies graduate degrees.
  • The Board of Advisors, established in 2019, is an alumni group that advises the Dean on strategic planning, programming, and external engagement.

Faculty from Arts and Sciences, Thayer School of Engineering, and the Geisel School of Medicine develop and deliver the academic content of graduate programs. Guarini appoints limited faculty instructors.
