2025-2026 Academic Year
Summer Term 2025: Submit by August 20, 2025
Fall Term 2025: Submit by November 20, 2025
Winter Term 2026: Submit by March 20, 2026
Spring Term 2026: Submit by May 20, 2026

2026-2027 Academic Year
Summer Term 2026: Submit by August 20, 2026

Guarini students graduate four times a year. Submit your graduation materials by the deadline for the term in which you plan to graduate. 

Your degree conferral date is determined by the Board of Trustees meeting schedule and may not align exactly with the term in which you submit your thesis or complete your coursework.

For Students

Thayer MS/PhD students: Use the Guarini graduation portal to submit required Guarini graduation forms. Additionally, check with the Thayer registrar for any program-specific requirements that may apply to you.

Depending on your degree program and track, your checklist may include the following form requirements and actions. Use this as an overview; your portal will show only what applies to you.

  • Future Plans Form
  • Certification of Completion of Degree/Thesis Defense Form (Submitted by your program)
  • Dartmouth Student Group Health Plan (DSGHP) Exit Form
  • Upload Signed Thesis Title Page
  • Upload Thesis to Dartmouth Digital Commons (be sure to follow the thesis guidelines)

  • Survey of Earned Doctorates (SED)
  • Guarini School Survey
