Guarini students graduate four times a year. Submit your graduation materials by the deadline for the term in which you plan to graduate. 

Your degree conferral date is determined by the Board of Trustees meeting schedule and may not align exactly with the term in which you submit your thesis or complete your coursework.

Thayer MS/PhD students: Use the Guarini graduation portal to submit required Guarini graduation forms. Additionally, check with the Thayer registrar for any program-specific requirements that may apply to you.

Program Guidance

Use the program guidance for thesis defense outcomes and completion of degree to understand possible thesis defense outcomes and the policies that follow. Share these guidelines with students preparing for their defense so they know what to expect.

The following forms are intended for program administrators or faculty to initiate or submit on the student's behalf:

Thesis & Dissertation Students

• Certification of Completion of Degree/Thesis Defense Form: After a student's defense, ensure this form is completed and email it to Amy Gallagher at Amy.L.Gallagher@Dartmouth.edu.
• Title Page Signature Verification: Programs should verify that all committee signatures are present on the student's title page before submission to the Guarini School. All signatures must be on one title page. Electronic signatures are allowed.

Course-Track Students

• Certification of Completion of Degree Form: Once a student has completed their degree requirements, complete, sign, and submit this form to Amy Gallagher at Amy.L.Gallagher@Dartmouth.edu.
