Your energy levels are an important part of your mental health. All the things you do during your day, including your teaching, and what you ask your students to do during class, use up some of your energy for the day. We'll discuss various teaching-related activities, what leaves us feeling energized or drained, and how to balance this. Registration required. In person only; lunch included.

This training is designed for Guarini grad students who are interested in learning more about ways to identify and reach out to students who may be struggling with mental health concerns and refer them to appropriate resources.

Join a half-day, mostly silent, immersion into mindfulness. No experience necessary.
Dinner Included | Free + open to all!
Reconnect to yourself and discover tools to help you manage stress more effectively. During this 3 and ½ hour retreat we will spend time learning a variety of exercises that have been shown to enhance your focus and concentration, boost your energy and immune system, all while deepening your self-awareness and your ability to enjoy life. Although the majority of the retreat will be spent in 'noble silence', we will plan to open and close the retreat with optional sharing among one another. Other practices to be included are Meditation, Yoga, Mindful eating, Mind/body skills for relaxation.
