First-Generation Students

First-Gen Resources

First-generation students are those for whom neither parent graduated from a four-year college. Dartmouth offers close mentor relationships that can help you feel supported throughout your academic career.

Assistant Dean of Student Affairs, Kerry Landers, hosts regular events and meet-ups for first generation grad students. She is also the author of Post-Secondary Education for First Generation and Low-Income Students in the Ivy Leauge (Palgrave Macmillan). Please be in touch with Kerry to receive updates about her events.
