[more]Being part of a highly networked community is a frequently cited reason for the appeal of a Dartmouth education. The close-knit collegial environment on campus extends beyond commencement into a strong and connected alumni community. Such connections foster deep learning and opportunities that other schools strive to cultivate. GRAD alumna Kimberly Rose Clark (’04) taps into our local and global Dartmouth community and nimbly brings her research industry’s network and expertise to the Consumer Neuroscience course she teaches in the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences.
[more]George Boateng ’16, TH’17 was awarded the 2018 Martin Luther King Social Justice Award in Emerging Leadership. We caught up with George and asked him about his experience as a leader, what led him to Dartmouth, and his dreams for the future.
[more]On October 20, 2017 Molly Croteau, a Dartmouth GRAD alumna (Ph.D. Chemistry, 2016) met with a group of grad students to discuss her path into industry and her current experiences in a biotech company. Now a scientist at Avitide, Molly shared how she prepared herself for a career in industry from graduate school.
[more]One of the many career development opportunities offered by the Dartmouth Graduate Studies office is the externship program – a day-long version of the more familiar internship. The externship offers students a short, practical experience in their area of research or career exploration. Alumni interested in participating and making themselves available as career resources for current graduate students are encouraged to participate. Students then reach out directly to those alumni and create the model and experience that works for both in terms of time and space.
