[more]Back in 2018 Physics and Astronomy graduate student Avery Tishue was interested in connecting with a program that worked with K-12 outreach in underserved communities. For around twelve months prior, undergrad Hannah Margolis had been looking for a way to integrate her mentoring work more permanently in the Dartmouth community.
[more]In light of the recent discussions on campus around dismantling structural racism, a number of organizations have evolved to capture the momentum of the movement and take the conversation into the community.
[more]On May 5th, 2020 the Guarini Graduate Student Council (GSC) Executive Board were selected after an online election hosted by the current GSC General Body. Members of the Guarini community were invited to nominate fellow students throughout the month of April or during the election process.
[more]In April this year, Curtis Peterson, then Academic Chair of the Graduate Student Council, hosted the annual Three Minute Thesis contest (3MT) at the top of the HOP. The event encourages graduate students to think about the elevator pitch they must be ready to give to explain the impact of their work to a general audience, using only one slide.
