R for Data Science: Data Wrangling

R is an open source software environment for statistical computing and graphics and is very popular with data scientists. R is being used for data analysis, extracting and transforming data, fitting models, drawing inferences, making predictions, plotting, and reporting results. This "R for Data Science" workshop series will offer you great opportunities to experience the whole data science pipeline from importing and tidying data to wrangling and visualizing data to modeling and communicating with data so that you'll gain exposure to each component of this pipeline from a variety of different perspectives.

At this workshop, you’ll learn about data wrangling, the art of getting your data into R in a useful form for visualization and modelling. You will learn how to use the “dplyr” and “tidyr” packages, the two core packages of the “tidyverse”, a collection of R packages designed for data science, to optimize the data wrangling process.

This is a suitable introduction for people who have a little or no previous experience in R and are interested in learning to perform data analysis.
