Christopher James Langmead (Ph.D. Computer Science, Dartmouth, 2003) is the Director of Digital Biologics Discovery at Amgen, one of the largest biotechnology companies in the world. His team at Amgen develops Artificial Intelligence- and Machine Learning based methods to automate the design and optimization of therapeutic proteins and RNAs. Prior to joining Amgen in January, 2022, he was a tenured professor in Computer Science and Computational Biology at Carnegie Mellon University.
