Alumni Council Guarini Representative: Al Salehi, MALS '21

Since its founding over a century ago, the Alumni Council has acted as a clearinghouse for alumni sentiment and ideas, maintained a relationship with the Board of Trustees of the College, and served as the official communications channel between alumni and the administration.  Its members are drawn from affiliated groups, faculty, class and club officers as well as graduate and professional schools, so it is possible to be represented by more than one, depending on which constituencies you belong to.

Al Salehi, who graduated from the Master of Arts in Liberal Studies (MALS) program with a concentration in creative writing in 2021, will be representing the Guarini School on the Alumni Countil. As a representative for the School, Salehi acts as a point of contact between the Council and the alumni.  He is eager to pursue this role and tells us he is "honored to be part of the group."

"My goal is to inspire involvement -- to advocate for volunteering, and to nourish the alumni sentiment," Salehi says.
