[more]Al Salehi, who graduated from the Master of Arts in Liberal Studies (MALS) program with a concentration in creative writing in 2021, will be representing the Guarini School on the Alumni Countil. As a representative for the School, Salehi acts as a point of contact between the Council and the alumni. He is eager to pursue this role and tells us he is "honored to be part of the group." "My goal is to inspire involvement -- to advocate for volunteering, and to nourish the alumni sentiment," Salehi says.
[more]The John W. Strohbehn medal is presented annually to a graduating Ph.D. student(s) that best exemplifies the qualities of a scientific scholar. Someone who possesses personal qualities of intellectual curiosity, dedication, and commitment to the pursuit of new scientific knowledge and to teaching, as well as a sense of social responsibility to the research community.
