[more]Originally from the southeast coast of India, Sumyuktha completed her Bachelor of Science degree in neuroscience at the University of Minnesota. She took a gap year between high school and undergrad when she decided to study abroad, "we don't have neuroscience at the Bachelor's level in India and there's only one neuroscience institute.
[more]In April this year, Curtis Peterson, then Academic Chair of the Graduate Student Council, hosted the annual Three Minute Thesis contest (3MT) at the top of the HOP. The event encourages graduate students to think about the elevator pitch they must be ready to give to explain the impact of their work to a general audience, using only one slide.
[more]Keji Wei Th'19, Dartmouth engineering PhD candidate, received the Anna Valicek Award at the Airline Group of the International Federation of Operational Research Societies (AGIFORS) Symposium in Seattle on October 3. Wei was recognized for his original and innovative work in the application of operations research to airline-related business problems.
[more]Abby is a native New Hampshirite and has spent most of her life in Hillsborough County. As a self-proclaimed "dead end, dirt road kind of person," a major part of why she chose Dartmouth was its familiarity and proximity to home. Abby said, "Dartmouth checked every box that I wanted in a graduate program," being in NH, having a phenomenal reputation, and renowned excellence in research yet feeling like a small, tight knit community.
