    Bradley DeMay, PhD, is a Vice President at The Beacon Group and is a School of Graduate and Advanced Studies representative on the Dartmouth Alumni Council. DeMay, who is originally from Clayton, New York, became a Dartmouth alumni in 2011 when he finished his PhD in the biological sciences. However, because he was the first student admitted to the PhD/MBA dual-degree program at Dartmouth, he continued his academic tenure at the Tuck School of Business. He graduated from Tuck in 2013.

    Allison Henrich is an alumna of Dartmouth College with a Master of Arts in Mathematics ('05) and PhD in Mathematics ('08). Growing up knowing her passion was to teach, Henrich tailored her academic career towards undergraduate teaching. As a graduate student in Dartmouth's Math Department, she and her peers were required to attend a teaching seminar which effectively helped Henrich understand the psychology of how people learn and what methods she can utilize as a teacher in her future classes.

    Dartmouth’s Graduate Studies Office coordinates a Graduate Studies Externship Program, pairing current graduate students with alumni from Dartmouth’s graduate programs. As part of the program, students spend a day shadowing their alumni host, becoming acquainted with their host’s place of employment and discussing professional goals.     One of the many career development opportunities offered by the Dartmouth Graduate Studies office is the externship program – a day-long version of the more familiar internship. The externship offers students a short, practical experience in their area of research or career exploration. The Graduate Studies Office does a great job of matching current graduate students with an impressive network of graduate alumni in professional positions.
