Externship Information
The Guarini School of Graduate and Advanced Studies has developed a highly successful externship program linking graduate students with alumni to offer a "day-in-the-life" externship at the alumni's place of work.
Students are paired with alumni and together arrange a time for students to visit the alum's place of work. Visits may include a discussion of the career trajectory of the alum, presentation of typical roles and responsibilities in the current setting, insight into the culture and values of the workplace, or opportunities to attend meetings and speak with other colleagues.
The program seeks to connect current graduate students with alumni and give students an opportunity to gain insight and firsthand knowledge of possible career options.
This is a wonderful way to for alumni to connect with graduate students and give back to the Dartmouth Community.
