Dartmouth PREP encourages applications from underrepresented minorities who hold a recent baccalaureate degree in a field related to biomedical sciences that are interested in pursuing a research doctorate.
If you would like additional information, please subscribe to our interest list.
Dartmouth PREP accepts up to 4 scholars into the program, which starts July 1 of each year. During the first two weeks of the program, Dartmouth PREP directors will help students match with a faculty mentor whose lab is doing research of interest to them. Dartmouth PREP offers a broad range of research opportunities across three different graduate program affiliations: Molecular & Cellular Biology (MCB), Integrative Neuroscience (IND), and Quantitative Biomedical Sciences (QBS). More than 41 Dartmouth faculty members are available to mentor Dartmouth PREP scholars for their 1-year research experience and provide guidance on the graduate school application process.
The 2023-24 program dates are July 5, 2023 to June 2024.
Dartmouth PREP scholars select mentors from a pool of more than 40+ affiliated faculty members. The matching process for scholars considers a range of criteria, such as research interests and qualities desired in a mentor/mentee relationship.
