Intended Audience(s): Public
Categories: Arts, Exhibitions, Free Food, Lectures & Seminars

With the #MeToo movement having reached such a wide audience, and having affected so many people, including Dartmouth students, we hope this event will allow attendees to better understand the different ways women are fighting for validation and empowerment, the different causes they are pursuing, and the different kinds of suffering they have been subjected to throughout their lives. We will start with a 20-minute presentation, including information about initiatives spearheaded by individual women or organizations and the need for more systematic reform. At nine stations, participants can explore both print and digital materials pertaining to the winter '19 study abroad countries: France, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, United Kingdom, India, South Africa, Thailand, and Brazil. Each station will include a mix of photos, artwork, clips of news coverage, music videos, or written documents testimonies, trial transcripts, new laws, articles, etc.
