[more]Mackenzie Jones, a 5th year PhD candidate in the Department of Physics and Astronomy, is this year’s Neukom Prize winner for Outstanding Graduate Research in Computational Science. The prize was awarded to Jones for her work on the cosmic evolution of supermassive black holes.

He received his PhD in Microbiology and Immunology from the School of Graduate and Advanced Studies at Dartmouth in 2008. He spoke to gathering about how his PhD contributed to his success in the business world and offered seven key tips for students considering a transition from academia into industry.
[more]The annual Big Data in the Life Sciences Symposium, funded by the Burroughs Wellcome Fund, was held on May 23 at Alumni Hall, Hopkins Centre for the Arts, Dartmouth College. Thanks to advances in technology in recent years, scientists have been able to study biological systems and accumulate vast amounts of data.
